Let me start by re-establishing the good of what's been said in this review's title. The watch looks good. The overall design of the exterior and what you can see of the interior is very appealing to the eye. The clear lense over the hour and minute hand is not glass, but what feels like cheap plastic. The cover that latches over it is still rather solid though.
However, my main problem with this pocket watch is that the amount of winding to keep it going is absurd, or at least the amount of times throughout the day I need to wind it and keep it functioning. The longest it's lasted on a wind (which, for reference, was a good 4 minutes of solid winding, although I have done more or less before) is about 4-6 hours before needing me to wind it again. I've read that good pocket watches actually show resistance after enough winds, but this one didn't seem to have one, or at the very least I didn't seem to notice.
Another problem, a minor complaint, is that when I first opened the watch, it had an adhesive cover over the plastic lense, obviously to prevent damage during shipping, despite being well protected in a leather box. Under this protective layer was a bit of dirt. I pulled the adhesive cover off, and washed off the watch lense with some hot water and soap.
Overall, if you want a good looking pocket watch, this isn't the worst option, but be aware that in terms of functionality, it could use a bit of a tune up
