I bought this watch as a birthday gift for my boyfriend who enjoys collecting pocket watches. It looks great. I had the shield hand-engraved with his initials as many businesses like Things Remembered will not engrave gold (this is due to the fact that they use laser engrave machines and gold is a soft metal, increasing chance of damage). The watch is incredibly beautiful and detailed. I can only comment on the aesthetics of the watch for now as he has only had it for a few days now. I hope to update this review after he has had it for a bit longer. I like that there is a lifetime warranty on the mechanics of the watch. There is also a one year limited warranty on the casing, etc. I don't usually like two toned jewelry but this watch is extremely elegant and tasteful. The boyfriend was very pleased with this watch.
