The size is 18mm only at the spring bars after which it immediately becomes smaller as the length progresses. If you observe carefully, you will see in the picture that the band gets narrower. As a result, this band makes any watch appear like it was designed for women. It appears all leather bands manufactured by JP Leatherworks and sold by The Watchband Store exhibit this same design flaw.

In terms of quality, I can't say with certainty because I only had it for one week. However, the leather strap keeper appears to be poorly constructed because I can see a loose thread holding it together. If the band does not hold up, I will update this review in future to reflect that.
