The picture is correct but it is not a "double" ridge, rather a single ridge. The leather is thick but much more pliable than the review by J. Labrousse led me to expect. I do agree that this would not be a good band for a thin watch. I have it on a Seiko SNK803K2 Automatic and it looks fantastic.

Color is slightly warmer than the picture indicates but is is not red. Very nice stitching and the deployment is smooth and sturdy. I also got a 5% "summer sale" discount when I confirmed the order which was a nice bonus.
