This is a nice piece of kit. It's easily the quality of any department store or mom-and-pop jewelry-store watch, and it would be a sure improvement for any watch that costs less than 4 figures. It's worth noting that the underside (against your skin) is nicely finished, too -- details and quality touches were included in the design and production that other generic/inexpensive options might skip.

Is it as nice as a high-end, luxury-leather watch's OEM band? No. In particular, in comparison to Big Money watches, the clasp is featureless, bland and kind of clunky. But if you have a high-end, luxury watch, you're not shopping on Amazon in the ~$10-$50 range for a new band -- you're probably not shopping on Amazon *yourself* at all!

As another reviewer noted, the clasp is made of thin stainless steel. However, this (to me!) is a feature, not a bug. One of the criticisms of this style of band is that they get bulky, particularly when used with a leather strap. Making the clasp out of thin (but certainly thick and sturdy enough to be durable for some time to come -- it doesn't flex or bend, for example) mitigates that problem nicely.

As a final side note, be warned it ships in a plain plastic bag/wrapper... which is fine if you're replacing your own band (and preferable, I'm sure, as I imagine it keeps cost down). but it wouldn't make much of a gift or glitzy presentation.

Good piece. Would buy again, and may look into buying in other colors just to have some variety available....
