I wanted a watch strap that was a bit different from being black/brown leather so I have to admit I selected this one on color alone and the fact that it was leather. Initially, I was thrilled with it. It is a nice "evergreen" color with goldstone buckle. I loved it and it was easy enough to fit to my watch. One month later, the honeymoon was over - about two weeks ago I noticed some separation of the various folds and layers close to the "buckle end" of the strap and just two days ago this resulted in the buckle separating from the strap. I think the strap got wet from time to time when I washed my hands etc. and the glue just dissolved. It's fixable, but really you shouldn't have to mess with this sort of repair less than two months after purchasing. So, if you are the sort of person who can be aware of what you are doing, this strap will be fine if you look after it. But if like me you have a tendency to wear a watch and not want to take it on and off, worry about what you are exposing it to etc. - you might want to look elsewhere.
