To start, the actual band is a much warmer shade of tan than the picture and it does not appear glossy in person. There is a much better picture on the manufacturer's website that I looked at to judge the color before I made my purchase.

This is supposed to be a unisex watch band, but the buckle looks a little feminine in my opinion with the way it flares out - see the pictures and decide for yourself. I didn't really notice until I put it on for the first time.

The "light padding" also added a lot more bulk than I was expecting. I put it on a fat automatic watch so it works, but I wouldn't put it on a thin watch. The main problem is the area where each side of the strap overlap on my wrist - the combined thickness of both ends of the strap could easily be thicker than a thin dress watch. The leather loop that is supposed to hold the excess strap flat is also too loose and sometimes slides so far up the band it stops doing its job. It's not terrible, but it could be better.

I bought this strap because I was looking for precisely this color (again, see manufacturer website for a better representation of the color) but I would probably be happier overall with a different strap.
