22mm SUPER Engineer Solid Stainless Steel Watch Band Deployment Clasp P Review

I purchased my Super Engineer bracelet directly from the Strapcode website.

I have also owned a Super Oyster and two mesh bracelets from Strapcode and, like them, the Super Engineer is well-built and sturdy. The solid links seem much heavier on the Super Engineer than the Super Oyster, so you must prefer some heft if you purchase this. Unlike the Super Oyster, the deployment clasp on the Super Engineer is better quality and as solid as the rest of the bracelet; it's not tacky stamped metal. The polished links look nice, although they're sort of blingy and a definite finger print magnet.

Like the Super Oyster bracelet, I had difficulty resizing the Super Engineer bracelet due to issues with its screw pins. They were essentially seized in the links and required a lot of WD-40 and patience to free them. Upon examining the removed screw pins, I noticed that they were dirty and discolored; not sure if dirt, metal shavings, or some other particulate matter got into the links but, in my view, that was the underlying cause. Strapcode generously gave me a coupon code for my next purchase after bringing the problem to their attention.

The bracelet was attached to an Orient Explorer. I've since sold the watch, but its buyer has certainly inherited not only a great watch but a great bracelet to boot.
