Hadley-Roma Men's MB4426RWSE-18 18-mm Stainless Steel Watch Bracelet Review

You can get nice looking metal watch bands (called bracelets) for a lot less. The Timex Men's Q7B873 Stainless Steel Non-Expansion 16-20mm Replacement Watchband is a good example. Amazon has it for 1/3 the price of this one. But this is a far better unit; the Timex is folded steel, so the ends of the links look funny and aren't smoothed, the bottom (against your skin) has a seam and adjustment is really hard.

In contrast, this Hadley Roma is solid-link with pins. No link-seams to grab your arm hair. The Timex (which I also purchased) pulls my arm hair so much that I hate it; not so with this one.

Also adjusting the Timex involves poking out a J-shaped staple, essentially, that is in there way too tight. Very hard to to. This bracelet just needs a pin pushed out. You can use a thumbtack, but a cheap tool like the Paylak TSLK3 Watch Band Pin Remover and Link Remover (which I buy regularly, since replacement pins cost as much as a whole new unit and since it works on most good watches, such as my Traser Big Date Alarm Watch T4004.359.34.01, also purchased through Amazon) does it really quickly and easily.

I have no idea why the other reviewer thought a screwdriver would do it. A $14 tool does it perfectly.

Anyhow, so the Hadley Roma is...

* Great looking
* Very comfortable
* Heavier (feels quality) than the Timex
* Has three micro-adjust points. (There are four pins but the last is blocked by the extension.)
* Has an "extension" - essentially a second unfolding part of the clasp for using when wearing the watch over a jacket.

The only downside is that the Hadley Roma does not come with springbars. Seriously? Even the Timex comes with springbars! And that it costs three times as much of course.
