Perhaps I was unlucky with this one, but then again there are a number of one and two-star reviews on Amazon for Stuhrling watches. It is a beautiful timepiece and was very accurate and long-lasting in the short time that it actually worked, but for a company that almost seems to boast about its quality and craftsmanship (all over product pages, all over box, all over documentation in box), this was a letdown. Yes, this was only a $100 watch but when it can't even outlive a $45 pocket watch... well, you get the idea. Within two weeks it stopped ticking-- I took great care to not overwind it and keep it away from the elements. Wasn't going to send a $20 check to cover shipping for warranty, either, not with Amazon to back me up at least.

Had it not broken, I would have given it a full 5 stars. It is intricately-detailed, beautifully finished, was accurate and long lasting when it still functional. I might consider trying another in the future if I can't find another watch that better suits my tastes.
